LATEST NEWS by Jennis Williamson

In the past I always use to refer to June and July as the depression months due to it being a lot slower, definitely not the case anymore. What a crazy month!

Apart from all the updates for August from our various divisions and our new film launching on kykNET, we worked with Dramatec (Anelisa Phewa and Lizelle Pike) to launch a 6 week acting masterclass. Keep your eye on our socials for behind the scenes pics. Our next workshop with Dramatec will be an exclusive KIDS 1 day workshop.

Lastly, wishing all our artists and clients a phenomenal Women’s Month during August 2022

CREW-ETC by Frankie Opperman

It’s been a busy July on Crew-Etc’s end with plenty happening behind the scenes. We’re excited to see what August has in store. On screen this month, a special highlight is Spoorloos Season 4 on kykNET, which had a number of our freelancers on board. Keep your eyes on our social pages to see what other productions we’ve been crewing up for as it’s always a pleasure to have a subtle brag about the talent on our books.

And as always, for any sign ups, kindly drop us a mail at crew@talent-etc.co.za

Content Strategy

Different platforms require different strategies.

What works for your Facebook audience does not necessarily work for your other platforms.

If you are intentional on growing your brand and seeing it as an online business. You need to invest in a clear plan for all your different platforms.

Sit down and evaluate what works. This will help when brands approach you for paid partnerships and want results. You will be able to authentically guide them on all your platforms. Thus creating a positive result for you and them.

Utilise the analytics that are provided to you by these platforms, use this and align it with your holistic brand vision.

Remember like anything, a strategy is key to ensure you unleash your greatest potential.

VOICE-ETC by Kristy Suttner

This month our artists have been elbow deep in dubbing, dubbing and more dubbing. We have place 5 out a possible 7 artists from Voice-Etc on a massive dubbing project and it’s proving to be a beast of its own, with lots of learning along the way. Well done to the successful artists and there are many more exciting opportunities through this studio in the pipeline.

Our voice of the month this month is the inimitable Tina Redman. Tina is relatively new to the voice team but is slaying in the voice space. We appreciate you Tina!

Voicework is a lot more complicated than you might think. If you have a great voice and are good at dialogue delivery, we’d love to chat further. But first things first, do your research at https://voice.talent-etc.co.za/ to see what is required. Once you have done that you can drop me an email: voice@talent-etc.co.za to plot a way forward.

KZN By Fundi Zwane & Justin Nanak

A very happy Women’s Month to all the incredible women in KZN and the fierce females that form part of the Talent-ETC family.

We celebrate all that you are and the incredible value that you add to our world!

KZN has been abuzz. The Durban Film Mart and Durban International Film Festival festivities were a great networking and growing experience, that also saw the screening of film IDENTITY which is starring and Executive Produced by our very own Razeen & Zara Dada. A very well done to them!

We also had a successful KZN actors workshop which saw our talent flourish and participate well. We look forward to the next one.

LIFE-ETC by JC Snooke

In celebrating Women’s Month, on the 6th of August at 8 pm our second kykNET Storiefilm, Miss Delivery will be seen on kykNET at 8pm

Overzealous Ansu always gives 2000 percent in everything she attempts. When she notices the attractive Karel on his bicycle one afternoon after school, there is no stopping her, Ansu starts cycling! To fund her cycling mission, Ansu delivers food, a la Miss Delivery. Karel however always remains one step ahead of her. When Ansu delivers a food delivery to a customer a year later, the wheel makes an unexpected turn.

Quote of the month

“You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world’s problems at once but don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.”

– Michelle Obama
