TALENT-ETC

By Jennis Williamson

This year has certainly kicked off with a bang and our dedicated focus to each division within the Talent-ETC brand has certainly produced the fruits of its labour. This month we are focussing on Social-Etc, in assistant our influencer division with the right guidance in securing online opportunities within guidance of social media laws

Apart from this, our weekly online sessions and training have produced knowledge that will ensure longevity for our artists. We know, teach and understand the ‘business’ of showbusiness, a perfect balance between passion and admin.

It’s a new financial year and we finally closed the chapter from a business perspective on a challenging, yet fruitful 2020. Now is the time to soar.

We are excited to welcome Kristy Suttner to our team as our official VOICE OVER agent. Kristy is a singer, actress, director and writer whose agency, Sly Creative, services high profile clients such as SABC, PUMA, Nando’s and Nedbank. She is an active member of the South African theatre community under the banner of her production company, Ginger Cube Productions. She is also an experienced voice, acting and accent coach, having coached some of SA’s top actors and celebrities to optimise their biggest asset – the voice!

CREW-ETC

Manic March
2021 has kicked off with the speed of light. We are already into the 3rd month of the year. Can you believe it?

On the work side, Crew-Etc has been lucky enough to facilitate a variety of productions thus far ranging from narrative to reality formats. From Netflix to Mnet, we are getting Freelancers into critical positions on productions. Always on the lookout to expand, we are now hunting for skilled freelancers to join our books and hopefully link them up with new producers and productions. The demand for talent is at an all-time high.

Keep your eyes on our social media for more updates on productions that we are aiding from our talented pool of freelancers.

LIFE-ETC

By JC Snooke

Great news for all of us is that the industry is basically back in full swing, even though we still have a pandemic hanging over our heads.

We are getting safer and more effective ways to pull off great productions. It’s harder to have a set running in a pandemic however South Africans are making plans.. It’s a small leap for productions in SA

An interesting article of Cape Town in full swing with filming 10 films at the moment, go have a look:

We can definitely see the change and there is hope for us all…

FINAL THOUGHT

By Jennis Williamson

There seem to be two schools of thought when it comes to branding for actors: the first being, people cannot be brands” and the second; we live in the 21st century! We are hit with branded messages every single day, and actor’s should be no different.” At the end of the day, an actor’s digital ‘image’ – and by that I mean their social media presence, as well as how they come across on screen – is definitely a part of the casting conversation.

Know your brand, stand out, be different, have your own marketing plan ready!

Love and light
