TALENT-ETC

By Jennis Williamson

Talent-ETC has recently signed up to an innovative new casting and booking system that will change the way we process castings and information to artists, thus also cancelling out any missed opportunities.

This also means we will have more time to actively focus on new opportunities in 2021.

As we are also in the midst of a writing contract of a new sitcom, 2020 has been a great year for the ETC brand to expand our reach and borders in the industry in securing more work for our artists.

TETC- KZN

By Jennis Williamson

Things are on track with the KZN division, meetings were secured with potential artists and clients. We are excited to formally launch our new KZN faces on the Talent-ETC website early 2020.

2021 is already filled with promise and blessings.

CREW-ETC

By Frankie Opperman

Although it is holiday season, it has not slowed down at all, almost the feeling of “let’s skip the break and play catch up”

We’ve had a great November with various drama, reality, documentary projects amongst many more, that we’ve helped facilitate various crew members for. December is also heating up as productions try and make the most of what’s left of the year. We’ve truly got amazing freelancers on the books and can only thank and celebrate each one’s amazing talents.

To look back and try and review this year would make most people cry, so let’s rather look forward to 2021. Although the pandemic is still tearing its way through the world, at least hope is on the horizon. We strive to grow even more next year as we take the gears up a notch.

2020 – Catch you on the flip side.

SOCIAL-ETC

This year has been an enlightening year regarding social media. Although social media can boost numbers and raise an awareness for a specific cause, through actively focussing on social media, we have also seen the negative side of social media regarding artists buying followers, which is illegal if you are an influencer, using their platforms to spread negativity and self-indulgence and cutting agents out of deals to make a quick buck.

With this said, the brands who have dedicated themselves to Social-ETC and allowing us to help them, make an immense impact on their social media platforms.

We will be cutting our influencer numbers down quite a lot in 2021, and excited to work with brands who will still be relevant 20 years from now.

LIFE-ETC

By JC Snooke

Our vision and strategy for 2021 is focussing on maintaining our corporate clients we set up in 2020 i.e developing production packages with collaboration with Social-ETC influencer. In 2021 we are excited to shoot at lodges, hotels, holiday destinations, and once we have clearance, to take over the world.

This was a small idea that became a huge opportunity. A majority of the people you encounter on a day-to-day basis, out and about, at work or on your commute, either travel or have the desire to do so. They use apps, websites and other forms of communication to make this travel happen. Sometimes it’s a logistical nightmare, and it’s impossible to get from A to B. This is where we come in. Give the consumer something to look forward to and let them know the stay will be worth the travel.”

Don’t just work hard, work smart..

VERNAC SAYING FOR THE MONTH

“Ithemba alibulali,kubulala ubungxamo”

Hope does not kill, but rushing things does.
(we need to keep hope alive, and have patience, all will be well again in good time)

FINAL THOUGHT

By Jennis Williamson

Hi all

To be honest, I am extremely excited for our December break from Friday 18 December–Wednesday 6 January 2020. It will be a time to reflect, recharge and start the year with renewed energy.

I have never believed in new year resolutions but have always pushed myself to set up goals for the new year from October 2020 already so that I can be comfortable with any mindset changes way before the clock strikes 12 on 31 Dec.

Apart from so many hidden blessings in 2020 despite Covid-19 and lockdown, this is ultimately the best time to show gratitude. My gratitude is for my incredible team and our talented dedicated actors…you bring so much joy to my life.

Wishing you all a blessed festive season

Love and light

Jennis

QUOTE FOR THE MONTH

By Shalock Rass

During this festive season remind yourself that the journey is not about how you arrived but a reflection of what you invested in your craft.
