Shayla has grown up with 3 older sisters who have been involved in the performing arts since she was born, so to her performing is second nature. She has taken various classes in acting, singing and dancing but has really learned from observing her sisters. Shayla got involved in Eisteddfod and SA Championships of Performing Arts from the age of 4 and has achieved in all she has done. She knows parts of so many songs and has an excellent ear for music and is a very natural and realistic actress who speaks beautifully. She is currently taking voice lessons as well as musical theatre classes, dancing and drama. Her greatest achievement to date is having the privilege of performing as “Marta” in The Sound of Music at the Teatro 2014. That experience, being a professional performer, will stand her in good stead as a performer in the future. The screen acting bug bit when she was cast in two Feature Films, Table Manners and Siembamba, as the younger girl of the main actress. Shayla has also taken part in a Stageworx Musical and school productions. Shayla is a joyful child with a contagious laugh who loves the spotlight and has a desire to perform and learn as much as she can.
