Catriona Andrew, is a well known leading South African actress. She received formal training at the Art School ‘Pro-Arte’ for High school and then continued her studies in Drama at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She has also worked with Matthew Harrison from the actors Foundry (USA). Her very first audition landed her a leading role as Jane Edwards in the highly popular soapie “Egoli”. It is a role she is still remembered for. Her decision to leave Egoli in 2004 turned out to be an astute one as she has since graced our screens in a number of locally produced TV Dramas and films. She played Liz in “Song vir Katryn”, was cast as one of the leads in the M-net drama series “Snitch” where she played ‘The Devil may care’ vixen; Alix. She had a leading-guest role written for her in “Mtunzini.com” as Sylvie. She accepted the lead part of Nadine in the award winning local series “The Lab ”, in which the cast walked of with the South African Film and Television Academy award (SAFTA) for Best Ensemble Cast. Immediately thereafter she was cast as Samantha, a Principal Lead, in the hugely popular and award winning multilingual series “Erfsondes/Sins of the Father”. She is shortly to be seen as Lucy in the new Afrikaans series "Die Byl". Catriona also has an incredible passion for film. International acclaim includes the role of Fallon the Pirate Queen in 'Adventures of Sinbad' and a small part in the Warner Brothers film “Duma”. As well as being cast in the role of Leigh in a short film “Taxi Wars” directed by Antony Hoffman. She had the amazing opportunity to work with the award winning German Director Imegin Kimmel, in the international movie “Summer in Cape Town”, wherein Catriona played the jilted lover Roswitha. Locally she played opposite Barry Hilton as the leading lady in the movie “Finding Lenny”. Catriona continues to take on challenging and complexed Characters.
