Yvonnette has always loved to perform ever since she was a little girl, growing up in Bloemfontein. The performance bug bit her when she joined the school revue at the tender age of nine. Later she became a member of the Bloemfontein Children’s Choir, where she was a member for five years. Traveling to international competitions in countries like Sweden, Hungary, Austria, Belguim and Denmark. She also had the opportunity to sing with Helmut Lotti, Dana Winner, Nataniel and Sibongile Khumalo. She had the privilege to perform for the late President Nelson Mandela, on numerous occasions, and Thabo Mbeki. While studying Accounting, she realized that you have to follow your dreams and she then followed her heart and completed a performance arts course at the prestige National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), in Sydney Australia. NIDA alumni are Cate Blanchett, Mel Gibson, Sam Worthington and Baz Luhrmann, to name a few. Most recently she was an extra of a Nivea advet and was a part of an educational theatre group. Travelling South Africa with the play “Die Kwart-voor Sewe Lelie.” Where she played seven different characters. It was challenging but she conquered with hard work and saw it as an opportunity to sharpen her skills in the craft. Yvonnette is passionate, hardworking and ambitious. And she will do her best in every project, big or small.
