Odelle de wet is a South African actress and known for her role as Farrow in the SAFTA award- winning daily drama Isidingo (Best Soap 2008). She completed her drama degree (cum laude) in Nov 2006. In 2007 she was part of the SAFTA nominated sketch comedy Kompleks 2, playing the young, plastic surgery addict. In 2008 Odelle presented the Mzansi Award for Best Talk Show Host, live broadcast and later that year was nominated for People Magazine’s Crystal Awards for Best Newcomer of the Year for her role as Farrow. That same year she was part of the Desmond Dube anti- Xenophobia Campaign, presented as a music video on the SABC channels. Odelle also won the 2013 ATKVeertjie Award for Best Actress in a soap, Binneland. Odelle’s other television credits include 7de Laan, Binnelanders, Villa Rosa and Regardt van den Berg's ‘Die Byl’ series, Odelle played the role of Terry in the international series Blooddrive set to release in 2017. Her film credits including Trouvoete, directed by Darryl Roodt released in December 2015 and Superhelde. Theatre credits include Dirk Ligter at the KKNK in 2015 alongside Ian Roberts, Cincinnati by Barney Simon directed by Clive Mathibe, at the Market Theatre in July 2015, as well as the Sosken at Die Woordfees 2016, directed by Mari Borstlap. Odelle was also nominated for a Royalty Soapie Award for lead actress as Delia in Binnelanders 2014, as well as an international Sofie Award for supporting actress in an iphone shot short film called Magic Bullet. Odelle is an avid yogi and has completed a Teachers Training in Satyananda yoga in 2011. She will also be attending a second teachers training in Bali in 2018.
