Lindi Delport is a born entertainer - it has been a calling since birth. A little sibling rivalry (harmonizing songs with her sister at the tender age of 7) and a lot of living room concerts (which also showcased her entrepreneurial skills) culminated in Lindi obtaining her National Diploma in Musical Theatre at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in 2005. She then specialized in Acting for Television for 2 years at PALI with Shareen Swart, while working as a session singer. In this time she recorded backing vocals with Heinz Winckler, Liza Bronner, Marno van der Merwe - to name but a few. 2007 was a big year for Lindi: she not just got her break as a presenter on SABC2's "Pedaling Pilgrims", but she also married her high school sweetheart, Wynand Delport. Together they started the group ANDERS. Their first album, titled “Dink leef klink, was a gospel one with a very distinctive difference - something that hasn't been heard in South Africa before. The album was nominated for a Ghoema in the category BEST ROCK, and they also went on to perform at the GOSPEL SKOUSPEL in Cape Town. Soon after they took ANDERS on the road, and performed all across the country in a national tour, that also included Namibia. In 2012 Lindi decided to take up the opportunity to be part of the stage production “Agent Snoet en die hondelewe” (under the direction of Lizz Meiring, and with a stellar cast that included current Boer Soek 'n Vrou's presenter Nadia Beukes, Villa Rosa star Andre Lotter, Egoli star Jill Middlekop and Mooirivier's hunk Danie Putter. The group ANDERS continuously wrote songs, and decided to embark on another musical adventure with their album #LIEFDESVERHALE. The album was filled with songs about how they really felt about each other, and their first single "Mooi vir My" gave them more opportunities in the industry. ANDERS signed with SONY Music/Select Music in , and 2013, another Ghoema nomination followed - this time in the category Best Group/duo. Another privilege was bestowed upon this musical group when the country duet “Die Pad”, was chosen as the theme song for the Afrikaans romcom "Vrou soek boer". In 2014 the duo wrote and composed music for another Afrikaans romcom, “Knysna die movie”, and the single “Knysna” already went to the top spot on three different NATIONAL/REGIONAL radio stations. In 2015 ANDERS, as well as local superstars Lochnville, Karen Zoid, Loyiso and others, has been chosen to be part of a very special project for “Missing Children SA” (a national initiative that) and the group will feature on the organisation's album (which will be launched in June 2015). Lindi is currently getting back to her acting and presenting foundations, and is looking forward to a busy year full of exciting opportunities. ANDERS is represented by Black Ink Gorilla, under the watchful publicity eye of Samantha Hendricks and Ernst Swart.
