Committed, motivated, dedicated, trusted and passionate is only a few words to describe her. She will overcome every obstacle in her way with grace. She has been in love with acting and all forms of the arts since she started with her first drama class at the age of 6. Singing and dancing followed. Nothing has ever ignited her sole the way playing a character has or telling stories she feels are needed to be told. She wants to make stories and characters come to life, Audiences need to forget about reality when they are watching – she wants her stories to be the reality in that moment. She will always be committed to achieve the highest standard of performance and to listen to others. Her most advanced and formal training will be in theatre. She has been part of professional productions like “Stuur Groete aan Mannetjies Roux” (2011) where she played the lead, Engela Jnr, alongside names like Laurika Rauch, Deon Lotz and Nicole Holm during her Matric school year. She then followed to complete her drama degree (2012-2014) at the University of Stellenbosch where she had played the lead roles in several of, the successful director, Marthinus Basson’s productions – “Bloed Bruilof” (Blood Wedding) and “Medea Materiaal.” She was also part of a children productions company from 2014-2016, where she played various roles at festivals like KKNK and Woordfees. She was also seen in the production “As alles Blou is” at the Woordfees in 2015 that she and two friends brought to life, this was also invited to Alexander Bar in Cape Town later that year. Theatre isn’t her only love, her passion for the camera is growing by the day. She can be seen in TVC’s like Battery X (2015), Fitkey (2015), Fuze Tea (2016) and Outsurance (2017). She can also be seen in the first season of “Die Boland Moorde” (2012) and she is currently playing the daughter of a Detective in Binnelanders, Celeste (2018-Present). She has formal training and completed her teachers in Acrobatics (2000-2011). She passed her UNISA musical theatre grade 8 exam with distinction and has formal training in classical singing as well (2008-2013). If she is not in front of the camera or on stage Kika enjoys modeling, and writing poems – she would like to publish her own book of poetry one day. Nothing can stop her now, she is energetic, grateful and is prepared to make a difference in any project she is involved in.
