Corné Crous obtained her BDram degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2010. While studying she had the privilege of taking part in numerous stage productions such as: TJELLO (SIE) & VIOLEN (CE), Brothers and playing the part of Snow White in Snow White. In addition to acting, Corné also polished her voice taking up singing while studying at varsity. She joined the campus singing talent and ended up winning Best Female Vocalist during the annual SER competition. After graduation Corné was determined to pursue a career in acting and auditioned for a part in 7de Laan. She snatched up the role of Kim Conradie and played the part of this quirky character for 5 and a half years. Her portrayal of this character resulted in the Favourite Newcomer to TV nomination. Furthermore, Corné has teamed up with guitarist Nico Strydom and drummer Erick du Toit and formed Paper Plane City, a Johannesburg based fusion band. Corné being the vocalist and bassist, performs regular gigs in and around Johannesburg. Their popularity has taken them to perform in Cape Town and also ended up being interviewed on Afternoon Express. Corné has also collaborated with Hildegardt Whites and Jester Productions to produce a 2-women cabaret style musical show called Salmon & Snoek. It debuted at KKNK and was very well received. Corné enjoyed being part of Huisgenoot Skouspel in 2012. In addition to performing as MC , adjudicator and numerous celebrity appearances and interviews, Corné has graced the covers of several magazines. Corné recently returned from New York where she completely a 6 week acting for film workshop at the New York Film Academy.
