Marijke is a farm girl that at the age of 18 packed all her courage and dreams and moved to America to become a professional dancer. In America she developed a passion for film and television and got a role in a feature film called 8days. On set of 8days she also got to be a production assistant. Marijke learned so much in her average of 7 hours per day in dance class at the Millenium Dance Complex in Los Angeles and was selected to be one of the dancers in a music video for the theme song of the Rose Bowl Football’s 100th anniversary event. In high school she was a very serious 400m sprinter and played hockey for her regional team. Apart from her acting and dancing career Marijke is also pursuing her love for business as she is studying Business management through UNISA. She was a dancer in Afrikaans musical “Reik na die sterre” as well as in the Afrikaans musical “Liefling”. Marijke was playing the character ‘Liezl’ in the Afrikaans soap ‘Binnelanders’.
