Christie’s passion for the arts began at a very young age. Throughout her school career she secured many lead roles as well as directing and writing positions. Christie is vocally trained classicallyand in broadway belt, currently being trained by Hanlee Louw, Jonathan Roxmouth, Adele Strombeck and Angela Killion. Christie also expresses a great passion for modern contemporary, tap and jazz dance and is skilled in drums and guitar. Christie has had film experience through her consistent appearance on The Voice South Africa Season Two as a contestant on Karen Zoid’s team (2017), an extra in various yoga scenes in SABC’s Generations (2017), the Elvis Presley Tribute Show insert for Born To Perform TV (2015) as well as in the Born To Perform MNET Christmas EPK(2015). Performing on a musical stage is one of Christie’s biggest passions. This is seen through her performances in A Night With The Stars (2016 & 2017), Showtime Australia’s ABBA production (2015- 2016) and the children theatre’s production of Easter Bunny Who? (2016). Christie is always looking to better her skills and has recently completed her Licentiates Diploma in Musical Theatre with distinction, following two Associates exams in Performance Arts and Musical Theatre, whilst completing her degree in Visual Communication at the Open Window Institute.
